Welcome!

My name is Gwendolyn Causer (she/they) and I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m a somatic coach, meditation guide, yoga teacher, and native-plant consultant living and practicing in Burlington, Vermont on the traditional lands of the Abenaki Nation and Odanak First Nation.

I am a queer, white, leftist, gender-expansive human and I bring my unique lived experience to this deeply embodied work.

I recently found myself collaboratively holding space for a large group of beloved activists, not knowing exactly what would be needed or precisely what I would offer. As I left my house I heard a voice in my head say, “You’ve prepared your whole life for this moment.”

And this is how I approach this practice, recognizing it’s taken my whole life to become who I am and trusting myself to find the next right step forward.

Some things I believe

Something always shifts

There’s a special kind of magic to this work that allows for things to change. Our perspective. How we’re holding something. Our implicit beliefs. And then something else becomes possible.

Trust the process

Transformation happens over time. It is a practice. You don’t have to do it alone.

We’re doing this work for our collective liberation

I believe in dedicating our practice to the collective liberation of all beings, without exception. May each one of us be free from suffering.

I also know that our freedom from oppression is bound up together. Taking time to tend to ourselves allows us to show up more fully for each other and for the long-haul work of collective action.
